On one side of the country, millions tuned in to watch the annual running of the Melbourne Cup at Flemington Racetrack while on the other side of the country, four year old gelding Air of Vigilance (AUS) was quietly euthanased after fracturing his off hind pastern while running, Bunbury 4th November, 2008.
This group of owners may well remember the first Tuesday in November (2008) quite differently to others.
