Five year old gelding Hanging Rock (AUS) made a faulty jump at the last and fell. He suffered serious injuries in the incident and was euthanased on track, Yarra Valley 26th of April, 2009.

Seeing a horse fall in a race is always a terrible sight, but being one of Hanging Rock's owners it was even more terrible to see. Thanks boy, you were no great champion but you gave at least two of your owners a few heart stopping moments, mostly good ones! Hope you've gone to greener pastures!
