GRAND CIDIUM won at his first two starts as a 2yo (Criterion and Trenton Stakes) and then ran third in the VRC Sire's Produce to T J Smith's Imagele. Grand Cidium won the Caufield Guineas, finally turning the tables on Imagele and ran a good race at 7/1 in the Caufield Cup, finishing fourth to Swell Time, with the 4/1 favourite, Imagele, well back.
