Top galloper with outstanding ability who broke a leg 50m AFTER the winning post at the Gold Coast after crossing the line first in the 1999 Baramul Bowl during the Magic Millions Carnival. Sadly, it was to be his last. The horse recieved a touching ovation from the crowd as he was vanned off to be euthanised, January 6th 1999.

I get quite frustrated when a few readers automatically assume this is an anti horse racing website. This could not be further from the truth.
Your comments will not be posted, please take your opinions to the racing forums. Horses and racing are my life, help me keep this as a memorial for ALL our fallen horses, so they need not be forgotten.
This site is NOT run to provide figures for anti-racing groups, but rather for owners, trainers and strappers to remember thier fallen friends.
Horses Missing in Action - Can You Help?
UPDATED WEEKLY.
These horses all broke down in racing, but I cannot confirm that these horses have been euthanased. It is highly likely that most of these horses did not survive, perhaps put down several hours later after they left the track when the extent of thier injuries was discovered.
If you can confirm any of these horses were euthanased please let me know so they can be added to the memorial properly, and given the respect in which they deserve.
* Update - Have had some information provided recently to confirm the status of some of these horses! Many thanks and keep up the good work!

I followed this horses rise & was so sad to see his final race, he won the race but broke his leg (approx) 20 meters from the winning post... This horse in my limited opinion could have been anything.
i agree with you whole heartedly. blue pill was the greatest racehorse i have ever seen race. the potential this horse had was amazing and i almost cried the day he broke down. the connections also had a full brother named red pill but he just could not find the post, running second on so many occasions. i really thought that blue pill would have won the stradbroke after he won so easily that day on the coast. m ichael cahil had the easiest time in the saddle.
