A maiden galloper after 13 attempts, Ussmaka (AUS) went amiss at the 1400m mark and was pulled up by his jockey. He suffered a fractured off hind fetlock and was euthanased on track, Hobart 21st of September 2008.

Details are sketchy, but Danehill gelding Solid As A Rock (AUS) suffered a serious leg injury upon arrival at Rockhampton Racetrack and had to be euthanased as a result, 23rd September, 2008.

Come on Strop - any news?

I was saddened to hear today that 5 year old Bite the Bullet gelding 'Come On Strop' was pulled up at Canberrra last Friday 19/9 with a severe tendon injury. He was treated on course and vanned to a nearby clinic for further assessment.
I used to work with the dam of this boy, Cardsino and she was such a lovely mare, I have followed her progeny closely.
If anyone has any information as to his status, I'd really love to know.

Popular galloper Courts In Session (AUS), who broke down in the Gr1 George Main Stakes at Randwick in 2006 will be making a public appearance when he leads the field out for the Gr3 Patinack Farm Cameron Hanidcap at Broadmeadows on the 17th of September, 2008.

This retired grand galloper won this very race 2 years ago.
