Unraced 2 year old colt Explodabul, by exciting young sire Estambul has died after a track accident.
As added by reader... " Explodabul collapsed & died when trotting in off the track after pacework one morning. An autopsy showed a heart attack - no apparent reason as he hadn’t been under great pressure that morning, just plain bad luck (especially for the horse). Luckily because he was only trotting nobody got hurt - he was an enormous big horse and if he'd crashed at the gallop his rider would have been in trouble. He was a lovely big horse with a huge stride and plenty of gears, and was showing a heap of ability".

Mark of Man was a full brother to our champion galloper, Manikato. Mark of Man was passed in at the 1981 sales and was purchased privately before being syndicated. He was showing plenty of ability until he broke a shoulder at trackwork and had to be put down as a 2yo.
