In the vicinity of the 600 metres Unite and Excite was eased from the event. He was examined by the club¹s veterinary surgeon who reported the gelding had fractured a fetlock; he was humanely euthanased, 20th of May 2010.
I get quite frustrated when a few readers automatically assume this is an anti horse racing website. This could not be further from the truth.
